Is this kit amazing?  I used my stitched mats again--a lot. I had such a tough time deciding which project I liked the most. What about you?

FSS: Life is Better

Good morning I have a card that mimics my feelings exactly about this time of the year.  To create my sunshine I stamped the sun image from Weather Through then without re-inking, I stamped it again by rotating the stamp slightly to create a glow.  I then stamped the flip flops from Beachy Keen and coloured them with Copic markers.  Many of the Fresh Squeezed Stamps are perfect for colouring.

I love my Sanuk yoga mat flip flops, the are so comfortable!
Do you love your flip flops too? do you have a favourite kind?

CCC #55

Time for this week's CASology Cue Card.

As you know Melissa Chipperfield, owner of CASology, had her baby girl on Sunday so the Design Team is taking over the helm while Melissa and Baby Bryna are getting to know one another.  We are also hosting a baby shower over at CASology HERE if you want to join the fun.

This week I went very CAS creating a cute little card using a journaling card from Cosmo Cricket's Mr. Campy.  I have had this set for 4 years now and it seemed like the perfect time to cut it up.  This coming weekend is the annual family reunion up at the cottage, so this card is going to my Sister-in-law for hosting the event.

Journaling cards are an excellent way to create a clean, simple and fast CAS card.

Head on over to CASology today to learn what the 'cue card' means to you, how you can play along and see the all the cards created by the Design Team to inspire you.

Guest Designer: Lisa

colourQ #200, Trendy Tuesday Feature and news from 12 Kits

Happy Tuesday and time for this week's new colourQ!

Also today I have a card featured at Paper Crafters Library for Trendy Tuesday. A card I created for colourQ #197.

Tomorrow is this month's reveal for The 12 Kits of Occasions! A few changes are happening this month. Even though the kits have been around for a couple years now we are finally launching our blog that you can visit HERE to see a sneak peak for this month, find the link to our Pinterest Page and new Facebook Page.  This month's projects are being revealed on the 31st.

Today marks our 200th colour palette for colourQ! Hope you come and play along with us.

My card features Rosie Posie, I doubled matted the card base and then adhered my flower to a stitched mat. I love how the daisy fits on the scalloped circle from Limitless Layers and yes there is a sequin in the centre, why did I fight them for so long!

Dynamic Duos #63

IMG_1923

Time for a new colour duo at Dynamic Duos!
This week's colours are:

There is nothing more calm and soothing then greens.  Do you remember last month when all my cards used stitched mats? Don't get me wrong I still love them, but this month my cards all seem to have sequins on them somewhere. I fought the sequin bandwagon, but now that I have a pretty collection of them I am in LOVE!

I am taking my colours this week in an unexpected direction. This is an anniversary card for my hubby! We celebrate 23 years on the 18th of August, I can't believe it has been that long.  Eight moves, 2 kids, a dog and a lot of good times he is still the love of my life. It is looking like this one is going back in his suitcase on Monday.

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop - July, Moxie Fab World Birthday Card Challenge and Seize the Birthday

I can't believe it is already the Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop! Where has this summer gone?
Six fruit inspired colour palettes were provided for us to use for our inspiration, this is the colour palette I chose.

For my card I used Sketched Shapes and Happiness in Bloom to create a summer sweet birthday card. I placed a matching sequin in the centre of each one of my flowers. I am going to be submitting this to both the Moxie Fab World Birthday Card Challenge and Seize the Birthday Anything Goes Challenge.

This stamp set just make me want to go to the beach. For my card today I created a little beach scene using images and a sentiment from Beachy Keen plus the sun image from Weather through. CASE Study Challenge #151

IMG_1918

Time for this week's CASE Study and it is also my last week as Guest Designer. It has been such a fun month studying the gorgeous cards of Jocelyn Olson.  What I love about CASE Study is that it pushes you to think outside the box, to explore your creativity in new ways and to grow as an artist.  Jocelyn is an amazing digital and hybrid card maker and it really pushed me to explore options I hadn't before and to see what I could come up with using ink and stamps.  Check out this week's fantastic digital card.

Just in time for creating my card I received the new Neat & Tangled Ink Splash stamp and I put it right to work for my version of Jocelyn's card. I am going to be submitting this to both the Moxie Fab World Birthday Card Challenge and Seize the Birthday Anything Goes Challenge.

FSS - July Release Day 2: Sublime Citrus

It is day two of the Fresh Squeezed Stamps July release. If you missed day one click here to see my post from Day 1 introducing 'Everyday Expressions' or head over to Fresh Squeezed Stamps to see the reveal and projects from the rest of the team from Day 1.

Nothing says summertime more that citrus fruit. For my card I focused on the oranges. Stamping the orange slice two times and then using my 1" circle punch to cut it out--fits perfectly.  I cut the second one in half. I die cut and embossed a circle, stamped my sentiment and adhered the two orange pieces. One directly and the half slice with foam tape. Both are mounted onto some orange gingham matted with an orange solid. A 'sweet' card. Iam also linking this up to the Simon Says Food and Drink Challenge.

Head on over to Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog to see the full set and see some amazing samples from the rest of the design team. While you are there you can enter for a chance to win 'Sublime Citrus' too!
